A typical evening in the life of a PostSecret.com intern

Last Tuesday evening (August 28th) Lindsey and I both arrived at the PostSecret headquarters as usual, and I (Hayley) decided to take a few photos to show everyone what exactly being an intern for PostSecret.com entails. So, welcome to an evening with me and Lindsey!

Lindsey suggested last week when we were brainstorming that possibly Frank could auction off one of the large canvas-pieces of the blown-up postcards (used in the All-American Rejects' music video for "Dirty Little Secret") for charity. All of the money would go to benefit 1800-SUICIDE. So, the first item on the agenda was to choose one of the lovely huge postcard pieces to auction off.

Frank also decides he'll auction off a galley copy of the new book, A Lifetime of Secrets, that's set to come out in October, for the 1800-SUICIDE charity as well.

We puttered about and looked through the galley for the upcoming A Lifetime of Secrets book and other such things, but these photos pretty much cover the evening.

I love the art work you chose for the auction. Growing up my dogs were the only ones who ever loved me unconditionally. My parents and sisters love is like purchasing a Lifetime Limited Warranty that reads as follows:

Unless otherwise indicated, all love provided by this family, including but not limited to hugs, smiles, laughter, personal acceptance, words of love both written and spoken, is solely at the discretion of providing such feelings, and or emotions by the individual(s) of the D*nl**v* Family and in no way should be confused as a guarantee of the same. Such expressions are protected by applicable family members, all rights reserved.

No part of this family may be shown love for any purpose other than personal gain in his/her life's use without prior written permission. Use for any other purpose is expressly prohibited by such family, and may result in removal from such family and be subject to civil penalties.

I've been reading post secret for a few months. I liked what I saw The first week. And I'll say, I didn't quite Know what to make of it.I mean when the cards ran out and there were no more posts as in archives and such. But as the weeks roll on it's neat to have something to look at.That's not just words. Some of these people can show true emotion and evoke the same in me.Now that I've read Behind the Scenes of PostSecret.I got the gist and truely understand what this is all about.Keep up the good work.Or should I say the good "Works" of art(ie.) J.H.F.

Hey any idea what happened to the post secret blog? I went to get my Sunday fix and all I'm getting is a blank blog that says it belongs to a Nicole?

I re-iterate kat's question? What's happened to PostSecret - have you closed or is there some registration error?

Re: Finally Giving Up (Sep 16th)

After five years of slowly giving up hope and ending up living that meaningless existence - tomorrow I start Uni. I just couldn't stand my life a moment longer.

How do we contact Frank about doing an appearance at a University? I am interested in setting something up, and was wondering how one goes about doing that...

Thanks for sharing! What a great experience that would be! Do you think Frank will ever come to the East Coast of Canada to speak?

Is Frank planning to do any PostSecret appearances in South Carolina?

It's so cool to see this intern blog actually have readers. Me and Nicole felt that it had been fruitless effort put into it but I'm glad that it's finally getting some recognition!

Cheers!

Dogs are always forgiving. They never are mean. if they are, they whimper back to you later. People need to learn from dogs. that is why they only live for 10-15yrs, beacuse God takes them to where they belong, heaven and above.
